As one of Canada’s longest-running and most respected youth organizations, 4-H Canada believes in nurturing responsible, engaged, and confident leaders who are committed to positively impacting communities around the world.
In Canada alone, there are 1,900 4-H clubs, more than 7,400 adult volunteers adult and over 24,000 members. We are focused on helping young Canadians “Learn To Do By Doing” in a safe, inclusive and fun environment.
The 2017 Global 4-H Network Summit will take place at a great time in Canada, when youth engagement is playing a key role in shaping policy and trends, today and for the future. Organizations, academia, corporations and governments – including the Prime Minister of Canada, who is also the Minister for Youth and has established his own Youth Council – are all listening to what youth have to say. Canada is ready and excited, to host the world of 4-H in 2017 for the Global 4-H Network Summit!
2017 also marks Canada’s 150th birthday. From new exhibitions, special performances and groundbreaking technological installations, celebrations will be underway all year long in Canada’s capital city.
